BASE Milan, is a cultural hub located between via Tortona and via Bergognone, whose project is the cultural contamination between arts, businesses, technology and social innovation.
Their mission is to generate new considerations for the city of the 21st century, creating new connections between arts, disciplines and languages, supporting the role of Milan among the great capitals of creative production.
Within the ex-Ansaldo space, it is one of the most important urban regeneration projects in Europe. BASE revives a monument of industrial architecture by experimenting with new collaboration models between public and private.
On the occasion of the Fuorisalone 2018, BASE inaugurated a portion of new "regenerated" spaces, an area of approximately 6,000 square meters, which host temporary exhibitions, events, cultural activities and BASE is also a bar/restaurant, hostel and a large co-working space.
To set up the curtain and the wings of these spaces, BASE chose the extremely elegant dark green velvet made of COEX cotton from the Milano collection by Redaelli Velluti, 100% fireproof.
Like COEX, BASE aims at safety and sustainability to activate the urban regeneration process and be a workshop of ideas. BASE hosts exhibitions and cultural events and activities that have as their object the contamination between art, creativity, business, technology and welfare in an innovative key.
